Menorca - Biosphere Reserve
Menorca is the island people fall in love with, come here once and you are hooked for life. And no wonder, for in addition to all the normal attractions you expect from a holiday island – day long sunshine, restaurants and good safe beaches – Menorca has something special. Such as lovely untouched beaches, green rolling hills, wooded ravines and humpy hills filling out the interior of the island between it’s two main towns of Maó and Ciutadella. You feel like you are at home, but strangely on holiday.
Menorca is the least developed of the Balearics, giving it the charm and elegance it deserves. Tourism runs in tandem with other great industries to include dairy farming, producing its famous Mahón Cheese and Menorquina Ice Cream brands, leather goods, shoes and fashion jewellery.
Menorca has to offer safety for your children, great beaches and little fishing ports, lots of interesting history, sports & walks, great city and town centres for shopping and exquisite restaurants serving great local delicacies. |
